I've got a new contender for the best budget lip around, because I am on a mission to try them all. It's a hard life, but it was worth it here because this little beauty easily rivals a formula four times the price.
I'm talking about the Seventeen Mega Matte Lipstick (particularly the shade Rioja Your World). A delicious £4,49, this lipstick is so creamy and comfortable when you first apply it. After about 3 minutes it dries down to something with less sheen, but it remains comfortable to wear. Formula wise, it's not leagues apart from YSL or Chanel mattes - impressive.
I'd say the downside would be the packaging, I suppose. It's nothing to write home about, but I'm not complaining for under a fiver. I don't like the shape of the lipstick, because I always find the rounded shape like this ends up getting a bit smudgy and possibly requires a lip brush.
