I’m
Laura from Lelore and today I’m bringing your daily slice of beauty
ramblings while Laura’s off adulting and
enjoying her honeymoon.
It wouldn’t be autumn without a berry lip, so as cliche as it might be, it’s a trend not to be missed. As someone who
usually stays closer to the pinky nude end of the colour spectrum, I’ve carefully been curating my own edit of
go-to berry lipsticks that I can’t
wait to share with you.
Starting with least terrifying hue, Bobbi
Brown Sheer Lip Color in 22 Berry is a great and easy everyday raspberry pick. Super comfortable and surprisingly
long lasting given it’s satin finish and
sheer texture, this looks incredible with dewy skin and paired back makeup. If
I’m after a slightly
nuder dusky shade, NARS Audacious Lipstick in Anna is
a favourite of mine. It’s
quite a cool toned dusky mauve and definitely one of my most loved NARS shades.
The audacious formula is unbeatable, it’s insanely pigmented and lasts for hours.
On the more glossy side is Burberry Lip Mist
in No. 214 Oxblood. I have last year’s limited edition
which is why it features gold packaging instead of the usual gunmetal in case
you were wondering. Although this looks super dark in the bullet, it’s quite sheer and is a glossy formula. A
more reddish berry, Oxblood is one of Burberry’s most popular shades which comes in lots if other formulations if
glossy isn't your thing. A more affordable offering is the NYX Intense
Butter Gloss in Toasted Marshmallow.
It’s so pigmented, and
such a beautiful dark purple hue. I’m
going to get so much wear out of this in the coming months.
Sometimes though, a matte finish is the only
thing that will do, and it also wouldn’t
be a lipstick post without the following two picks. Firstly, I really love
mattes, and comfortable ones at that, so when I’m in the mood for something dark and fuss-free I always turn to Charlotte
Tilbury Matte Revolution in Love Liberty. This has serious staying power and always garners me a compliment or two. It’s a dark rosy, almost raspberry shade which
goes with my pale complexion perfectly. For a true, chuck it on and forget
about it lipstick, I had to include a liquid lipstick. Anastasia Beverly
Hills Liquid Lipstick in Craft is absolute perfection. Super flattering and so easy to wear, it’s almost identical in colour to the
previous Tilbs lipstick. The ABH liquid lipstick formula is one of my
favourites for sure.
What are your favourite autumn picks?
Laura
