Following on from yesterday's haul post, here are some delicious swatches of my new exciting MAC babies. Pro lipsticks, which you can't get in normal stores! That fact alone surely makes them more desirable? It does for me ;)
I trekked to the Pro store (near Carnaby street fyi) in London and happily swatched. I already knew prior to the shop I wanted these two lipsticks, but I swatched and bought them. They're both Amplified, which is my favourite MAC finish, and both gorgeous. Full fuchsia is a bright blue based pink, which pulls a little red on me. It applies creamily and is really pigmented but not actually that bright. Maybe I'm just used to bright lipsticks and nothing shocks me anymore? Haha :) Violetta... ah Violetta, where do I start? You are everything I ever wanted in a lipstick. You are purple and shiny and just so beautiful. The colour is not as opaque as most amplified, and I would say the formula is somewhere akin to something between a cremesheen and a frost. Regardless, I love it!
If you like the lipsticks but can't get to London, you can always call the Pro store and order over the phone! :)
I love Violetta. I just bought Embrace Me from the new line Fashion Set line. I'm not really a big MAC person but they keep coming out with better and brighter colors.

ReplyDeleteFull fuschia looks gorgeous! I have MAC Violetta in a pro palette and love it, I can't wait to get Heroine as its supposed to be the same colour but matte! Can you order over the phone even if you're not a pro? I'd love to get Full Fuschia and a back up of Violetta! Xx
