New Revlon lip butters

Wooooo, there are new Revlon lip butters! A mint (Invite only) and a purple (Provocative)

These basically have no pigmentation - if you want legit purple or mint, you won't get them here. These have glitter, but on the lips you get a mild tint with a mostly glossy finish. I didn't swatch them because they wouldn't really show up - these are glorified lip balms! The colours are quite fun but ultimately gimmicky. The formula definitely feels more moisturising than the other lip butters. I got them as a 2 for £10 deal, I would have been annoyed if I'd paid £7.99 for a lip balm. Invite only is my favourite, and it's been thrown in my bag to use throughout the day. On the lips it lasts over an hour, which is good for a balm.

Will you be trying these?

  1. That's a shame - I was eyeing these up the other day and wanted to get 'Invite Only' - do they make your teeth look whiter at all? xxx

  2. I keep looking at these when I pop in to Boots, not sure I'll be buying them though as they're a bit pricey! xx

  3. When these eventually come to Australia, they'll be $21... don't see anyone paying that much for a glorified lip balm! Lucky you got them on offer! xx

  4. Oh, I saw these in boots but didn't pick them up. I wish the purple actually had the pigmentation as its such a gorgeous colour! X

  5. They look stunning in the tube. I'm possibly the only one who would buy them if they came out as pigmented as they are in the bullet xD
But I'd probably only buy these on that 2 for £10 deal and when I was in need of a lip balm - I have tonnes of them.

They do look fabulous though :D

  6. They do seem a bit gimmicky, I think I'd love them if they were actually mint and purple but as just lip balms they seem quite overpriced..

  7. These do seem very gimmicky and I'm sure you could find something similar for a cheaper price tag too :( It's a shame because Revlon have some lovely products and you'd expect more from them really x

  8. I would definitely be tempted by Invite Only if it made my teeth look whiter, but I'm not so sure about the price for a plain old lipbalm! I love the coloured Lip Butters though xx
