Top 13 of '13! (makeup)

Picking out my ultimate top 13 products of the year was a lot of fun, I'm not going to lie. There are some similarities to last year, but that shows I love a product soooo much, right? I am sure none of these will be a surprise because I have featured them on here lots of times... In no particular order, we have;

Laura Mercier Silk creme - Awesome foundation for coverage and lasting power. I like everyhting about this, and my favourite way to apply it is just with my hands. I wore this a lot over the summer when I worked long shifts, and during New York when it was hot and I wanted my base to stay all day.

NARS Sheer glow - my other favourite foundation? I just wear this a lot, it's good for lots of situations. I'm almost out of this, and think I'll get a slightly yellower shade next time, but I loveee. I just love NARS in general. I want to give an honourable mention to the creamy concealer as well!

Stila Kitten - my go to inner corner highlight. It's very shimmery, so not for everyone, but I love how it makes my eyes look bigger and brighter.

Kevyn Aucoin sensual skin enhancer - Multi-use little wonder. If I want more coverage when wearing a lighter base, or nothing at all, I will add this just on my cheeks to sheer out the redness. A little bit honestly goes a long way, so this will last me for ages. I'm not a huge fan of using it as an under eye concealer, but it's great for blemishes.

Kevyn Aucoin sculpting powder - Because who doesn't want razor-sharp cheekbones? Fake it till you make it!

Laura Mercier radiance primer - I have been obsessed with using this on my cheeks for half of the year. It adds a gorgeous dewy glow, without being shimmery. I have dry cheeks, so any product that adds a healthy dose of luminosity will always be a winner in my book, but this is just such a nice product to use. It also kind of blurs everything to give you a soft focus look. Plus it prolongs makeup.

Kevyn Aucoin creamy glow in Tansoleil - Writing this all down, I have an apparent obsession with Kevyn Aucoin... I can't help it if the products are so good? The creamy glow blushes are the best formula ever, they are creamy but not slippy/sticky, so blendable and so long-lasting. Tansoleil is my top pick for peachy, glowing cheeks.

NARS Dragon girl - A pinkish red lip crayon that will last on the lips for hours? Yessss. The NARS matte lip pencils are definitely worth checking out if you like a good matte lip. Dragon girl is such a cute name as well.

MAC Soft and Gentle MSF - This was included in last year's favourites, and I've kept going with it all year. I flirted with the Balm's Mary-lou manizer, but came back to MAC. Isn't that always the way? This is just my favourite highlight, and I love me some shimmer and glow on the cheeks. I get compliments on the golden-champagne shimmer a fair bit, and it's always this one.

Hourglass ambient lighting powder in diffused - My go to setting powder. These have been massively hyped over the last year, but I love it! Diffused is slightly yellow to cancel out any redness, and it makes makeup last longer. I've also got loaddds left, and I use it pretty much every day.

NARS Luster - This featured last year, and I still love it. A peachy, slightly bronzey colour that adds colour and shape to my face. Mmm I love it so much. First blusher I've hit pan on! True testament to the love.

Stila convertible colour in Gladiola - This was my summer blusher. It looks scary and orange in the pan, but blended in the cheeks (I use the Real techniques expert face brush) it gives a nice dewy finish and the orange colour is surprisingly flattering. I love the stila convertible colours in general, really!

MAC Lady Danger - Of course this was here. I love it so much & that's all I have to say about that.

Phew! That was a long post. I'd love to know what makeup you've been loving this year :) I'll be doing a part 2 of favourites including skincare, hair and miscellaneous later on in the week.
