Benefit Rockateur

There's a new kid on the Benefit block, and boy oh boy... she is a beauty. When I heard that there would be a new blusher my ears pricked up, and when I heard it was a rose-gold blusher... Colour me obsessed. and I was lucky enough to pick one up at a one-day flash sale. It'll be on sale in September nationwide for £23.50 :)

Benefit blushers are some of my favourite (Coralista and Hervana are coral and pink blush perfection, respectively), and I love the little cardboard boxes and the fact that they smell nice. Benefit blushes last around 8 hours on me, and they are definitely some of my favourite formulas. Rockateur is a rose-gold blush that gives a gorgeous rosy sheen to the cheeks. On me it looks like a rosy peach, and I think it looks pretty good. There are enough rosy brown tones in this shade to add some dimension to my face and to emphasise my cheekbones. In the box it looks overly shimmery, but the top layer rubs off fairly quickly and the blush becomes more of a satin formula. This isn't a particularly unique shade, but I'm really pleased with it, and this is a welcome addition in my blusher drawer.

The downsides are the packaging (bit tacky in my opinion) and the fact that it's 5g, which is less than the others... for the same price. Why, Benefit, why?

What do you think? Are you excited for its launch?

  2. I was so disappointed when I couldn't make the Flash Sale to buy this but I can't wait to get it.

Oh, and I heard that the less product thing was because this one was more expensive to make because of some of the ingredients, so they put less in instead of increasing the price. I'm not sure how true that is but I've heard it a lot :) xx

  3. GASP! It's soooo pretty. But such a shame that it's less product for the same amount of money... why so mean, Benefit?

  4. Wow that really is a beautiful blush! I have a powder blush from dainty doll in the shade 004 that's trying to be this colour, but just isn't! The thing I love about benefit products is the pigmentation and how pretty they smell... It's not just me who's noticed the scent is it!?

  7. Once upon a time I was a Dandelion fiend, but I just fell out of love with it and the cardbord packaging - I like to be able to throw a blush in my bag and that led to some terrible messes, This does look beautiful though! I will have to get myself over to the benefit counter when they launch, Thanks for the inpsiration!
