Three summer lip essentials

If yesterday's weather was anything to go by, then summer is imminent and I am ready for my makeup to go to the next level. If I am anything, it is a lipstick addict, so I have three lip essentials to make sure you're ready for summer.

You definitely don't need to buy a lip scrub because you could use just brown sugar on your own and it would do the same job, but for ease of use I like to have a lip scrub in a little pot. My favourite is the Jeffree Star lip scrub in root beer, because it smells incredible, tastes delicious and definitely leaves your lips significantly softer.

One of the best lip balms I've ever tried is the Lanolips original balm. It's more like a cream than a traditional lip balm, but it's far more intensely hydrating. It almost feels a little greasy, but not in an uncomfortable way. I really like the packaging as well (totally judging a book by its cover), I think it's quite kitsch and so so pretty. This has been living in my bag since I got it, and it's the perfect base for all the matte lipsticks I wear.

Of course, you need a liquid lipstick (or fifty). A girl needs options, but some of my favourites are from Lord & Berry, Jeffree Star, Kat Von D and Stila. Liquid lipsticks are absolutely everywhere at the moment, and matte lips are here to stay forever, please.
